Norm M Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 The Champaign County Forest Preserve District is offering this class on wednesday June 10 2009 from 900 to 300 at the Homer Lake Forest Preserve"s Salt Fork Center. Project Wet Workshop Project Wet is an interdisciplinary water education program, teaching that the study of water should embrace science, history and culture. Each paticipant will recieve the Project Wet activity guide with more than 90 hands-on activities. For More information call 217-896-2455 A $20 fee payable at registration is required. Registration open thru May 28 Register at www.watercampus.org The rep I talked to said this program was geared toward k-12 educators but it would help others as well. I have signed up for this class as she said it would fit in with the training I am recieving in the Illinois Master Naturalist program and the Stream monitoring class with the illinois River Watch. I feel that it couldn't hurt for those members interested in memtoring youth in not only fishing but in conservation as well. I believe that educating our kids in the joys to be found outdoors as well as ways to preserve those joys should become a mission of the ISA. Quote
