Mike Clifford Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 A policy advisor to Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn says if Quinn becomes our next Illinois governor he would open closed state parks and historic sites immediately. At least that’s what senior policy advisor Marc Miller told Dale Bowman of the Chicago Sun-Times. Also according to Bowman: “Quinn indicated to Miller that naming a director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources would be ‘promptly reviewed.’ ” http://blogs.suntimes.com/bowman/ Quote
Jim Kast Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 I thought that would be the way it would work. Very good news for sure! Quote
Norm M Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 I would support any of the first three names on Dale's list of prospective directors although I would prolly prefer Conlin the most. I believe that the state would come up with funding for the parks that did not involve taking money from dedicated IDNR funds especially habitat funds. Quote
