DanHarper
I have noticed strange water in the DuPage River - unusual high water levels, murky, low visibility. This is so even when rain has not been heavy. Is the McDowell dam area being drained? Does anyone have an explanation, or a referral source so that Ican so somme research? I am a new member. Scott Ferguson
The thorium removal and river restoration is still going on just north of that area. I'm not sure exactly what part is being worked on right now, but I am sure that that is probably the main source of silt that you are seeing. John Loebach
I got out on the lower main dupe today, clarity in places 2' with cloudy stain not sediment. lots of floating weed parts, small but annoying. Still a good day to wade & pleasant temps - lots of dinks nothing of note or size. Although it could be clearer its definatly fishable. When in doubt try!
