asherman
We will plant water willows in the Fox at Batavia on July 22rd. Meet at the Skate Park parking lot on Route.25. Start time 8 AM. The site is the rock bar just upstream of Island Park. The actual date is depends on the water levels, but for now it looks good. It should take about 3 hours & we will determine a place to have lunch afterwards. Bring your waders and wading boots along with work gloves. John Loebach
We will plant water willows in Batavia on July 22nd. Meet at the skate park parking lot on Rte. 25 south of Wilson street. Start time 8am Bring waders & gloves, we have 416 plants this time. The site is the rock bar just upstream of the large island. Cross the bridge to the island & go to the north end. The gavel bar is just upstream where we planted last year. Date pending water levels but for now it looks good. It should take about 3 hours & we can find lunch afterwards. Please RSVP on the boards or email me. We work in teams if you haven’t done this its pretty easy. Ask if you have questions. This year is 20years that we have done this! j.loebach@comcast.net John Loebach 630/251-5904

John Loebach
Six volunteers planted 11 flats of water willows in about 3 hours today. A huge shout out to a small but determined crew. Last year's plants grew until they were mowed short recently. We hope to get more support to prevent that from occurring again. I'm sure it was a misunderstanding as no one would want to take our money & efforts for granted. A great job done by the following: Ed Buric Eugene Collins Kevin Dougherty Pat Hirschtik John Loebach Alex Zelles Many thanks, John L
