Guest rich mc Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 I saw a new item that we can use for flies at an office store. file bands they are large rubber type bands. they are 7inches long and 10 to a pack. for 3.69 . the bands are square and are like a 1/4 inch thick. perfect for those of you that are doing the musky flies. lefty would approve because they are chartreuse. rich mc Quote
Mike G Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 Did you say file bands? I heard of boy bands and garage bands... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2d4bj592ig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2d4bj592ig Sounds like those file bands would make great legs on an elephant fly. Quote
Guest rich mc Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 they should work on some dino poppers or big jude bugs or a nice tail on a mouse rich mc Quote

Mike G Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 By the way, the lead singer in the video is Jim Crow, no lie. There outta be a law... Where's Rob G when we need him? Quote
Mike G Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 After thinking about it, I figure those file bands would be too rough to use on flies besides being too small. For legs on elephant flies garage bands would probably be the right size. Quote
Rob G Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Where's Rob G when we need him? Hey, I deal with Bollinger bands daily, and if I keep this up, I'm sure to be "band" from this website. Quote
