I'm bringing my pontoon. They work very well even in low water. One of the great things is that when you are in shallow water, you can just put your feet down, and hold yourself in place, or stand up to fish. Very, very stable.

I've got an inverter I can let you try. You'd just have to get a cigarette lighter cable to connect to your battery.

Years ago, I used to do a lot of fly-in trips to Canada where I was always targeting northerns. Early on, I bought a cut proof glove to handle pike (I don't think fish grips existed then). The glove, did work, but it was a always a pain to use. You have to find it, then put it on while trying to fight the pike. I gave up on it quickly. Since then, even if I had a net, I grab them by the back of the head, over or just behind the gills. I recommend using this grip to hold them still while grabbing the fish with a fish grip.

Returning fishermen from this year are rapidly filling in the schedule. We are halfway filled already. Like before, I'll update the schedule above as the days fill in.

I've booked the Tinkers Dam cabin again for next year for August 11-25. Just like this year, the choices are for a 3 night or 4 night stay. The choices are;

1. Arriving Saturday August 11, and departing Tuesday August 14  

2. Arriving Tuesday August 14 and departing Saturday August 18 

3. Arriving Saturday August 18 and departing Tuesday August 21 

4. Arriving Tuesday August 21 and departing Saturday August 25 

The cost per night will be $30 per person. Deposits will be $60 (or more if you like). Reservations will be on a first come first served basis with consideration given to those who made it to this year's trip. If the demand is there, I'll try to extend the trip as needed. Final payment will be due on June 3. If for any reason you have to back out, all payments are non-refundable unless a replacement for you is found.

River is still on the rise, wading opportunities are limited right now. Work out the meals with your fellow fishermen.

I just updated the schedule with the latest changes. With luck, the only changes from now on will be to fill in the empty days.

The changes are coming fast and furious. I think I'm keeping up. I will update the schedule as soon as this current wave of changes is done!

SSCHEDULE CHANGES NEW OPENINGS!

As often happens, due to life happenings, we have some changes to the schedule. There are now 3 openings.

2 openings for the second half of the first week;

Arriving Tuesday the 15th for 4 nights leaving Saturday the 19th.

And 1 opening;
Arriving Saturday, August 19th for 3 nights, leaving on Tuesday the 22nd

Bart, the only openings I have are for the same days you have already signed up for. If you want to change, you'd have to ask someone else to switch with you.

A second opening has come up also for 3 nights beginning Saturday August 19 and departing on Tuesday August 22.

Sell off a bottle or two of fancy bourbon. Wouldn't that cover it?
