I am glad that everyone had a good time at our POTLUCK PICNIC. I believe that it worked out as we had hoped which was to be a grand reopening after the COVID-19 lockdown. The food was very good and the dishes everyone brought really rounded everything out.
The best part was the comeradery of such a great bunch.

I look forward to meeting you, Jim

Just a reminder that our POTLUCK PICNIC will be held on Sunday, August 1st this year. This will be our first social event after the COVID-19 lockdown and I hope that everyone is as anxious to get together as I am.
As always the ISA will provide the main course and soft drinks and everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share.
Festivities will kick off at 10AM with the food served about 12pm
Please respond here if you plan on attending so that we can plan accordingly 😉
Let's make this the biggest and best POTLUCK PICNIC ever!
one WEEK from today ! the weather looks to be darn near perfect for a POTLUCK PICNIC so come on out and enjoy the festivities 😀

Welcome aboard Ryan, while we are not a fly fishing club per se we do have a very active fly fishing sub group. Once we are able to resume activities we will have quite a number of activities for you to enjoy and learn more about fly fishing.

The Pot Luck Picnic will go on as planned. We will apparently have a smaller number of people and we will be outdoors with plenty of room for social distancing so there should be little reason for concern. Be sure to bring a face mask and if you can also bring a lawn chair so that we can comfortably spread out if necessary
Please let us know here if you plan on attending so that we can plan accordingly
The weather looks to be perfect and we believe that we are all ready for some of that I S A camaraderie at this time
Kane county has advised us that there may not be electric available at the shelter

I plan to go. On Call that weekend so if I’m not called out I will be there. For a dish, may I bring chips? Like those individual wrapped snack size variety bags.
Great I look forward to meeting you.
We just heard from the Kane County Forest Preserves that our permit is still good for our use of the shelter on August 1st

It's time for our annual Pot Luck Picnicat the picnic shelter in the Glenwood Forest Preserve in Batavia on Saturday, August 1st. After beimg shut down for most of the Summer I believe that it' about time for a social gathering with our friends in the I S A.
As always we will provide the main course, hot dogs and burgers and encourage but not require everyone to bring a dish to share. Lunch will begin at noon but come early should you want to do a little fishing in the Fox river beforehand.

we feel it is about time to begin to resume a little social gathering in the I S A. If you are uncomfortable with that please do not attend. We will be outdoors with plenty of room for social distancing. At this time things seem to be improving with the pandemic. Should that change or if there is not enough interest we will cancel by Saturday, July 25th.
If you plan on attending please respond here so we know how many to plan for or if there is not enough interest to proceed. I don't know about any of you but I am ready for some of that I S A comeradery

Welcome aboard Gene. It sounds as though you will fit right in. As I always tell new members take advantage of all we have to offer. You will get much more in return. I will get your new member packet out to you in the next few days.
