jim bielecki Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 I just tied my own version of a Brassie, created by Gene Lynch....I made one with a size 10 with a short shank, maybe 1/4 inch or so....it's supposed to imitate a pupa or larva of a caddisfly or midge. Has anyone tried ice fishing with this? Mine seems to sink pretty quick...anyone try this for 'gills? I'm not so sure if it would cut it for open water gills, it falls too fast. Quote
Guest rich mc Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 no reason why it wouldn't work. try doing some with different colored wireor colored bead heads rich Quote
Travis Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Not sure, but a good trick for fast diving lures and bait is to put them under a float. Let it fall and twitch it. The fish seem to react to that little motion. Quote
