ronk
Fished the Fox 5hrs. It was lo and very clear for that river.Free of coldwater algae, weeds, and silt it cetainly makes for more pleasant wading than the Dupe.Water temp was only 63 degrees a good 15 below what it probably was before the cold front arrived only a few days before.Figuring the drastic drop would make the fish unaggressive my bassbugs stayed dry.Hit 6 smb, 5 on a Zonker and the biggest one at only about 12" on a bluegill fly.Got a nice 18" walleye on a Meat Whistle. As usual the bass came off the shore, the walleye from midriver. It seems there are fewer fishermen on the Fox than last year, not surprising given the extreme weather conditions we've had this year. The return to more seasonable temps this week should improve things if there's not much rain.
