Guest
I'm going to try to get up to Kankakee on Saturday the 10th if my body holds together. This is a tough week yard work and window washing if it's nice out fishing if it's rainy. I'll be at Bakers Square around 8 am. Phil

Guest Don R
I'd be there in a heart beat....but I've got some signs to install. Perhaps afterwards...depending on how long you plan on fishing.
Norm M
Don, We kinda sorta got a plan but........... when Phil and I get together plan A generally doesn't have much of a chance anyway. All it takes is for someone to say how about this instead and off we go.
Guest Don R
A bit too beat to make it down there. How did you two do?
Guest
Well I'm becoming a regular ay Bakers Square. I'm not sure if that's good or not. I dragged a friend along from Champaign he's a real trooper. Norm made us feel feel right at home and he gives out free lures. We fished mostly areas that I hadn't been to in a few years or new ones. Picked up smaller fish mostly out in the current or right next to it. All fish came off of structure ( predictable spots). Not much action in the eddies. Finished the day in an old reliable spot and picked up a real bruiser of a fish. A boat was fishing the area I was trying to get to but it was time to go and we'd fished too long. Anyway the good spots stay good, but you have to try new ones. I worry about trying to convert these small stream fisherman I know to the big river. I think I've spoiled them on the creeks and ditches. One last thing saw lots of frogs and the water was clear. If you head out bring a buzzbait or some kind of top water. Norm you didn't miss much leaving early it was a death march.See ya Phil
