Gregg S
Seven ISA members, a boy scout troop, and other volunteers planted 200 shrubs Saturday at Potwattami Woods near the south branch of the Kishwaukee River. We were planting native shrubs in an area degraded by farming and other activity. The Dekalb County forest Preserve District chose shrubs that would provide food for deer and turkeys. The preserve was described as "loaded with turkeys." The ISA members present, and I hope I do not miss anyone, were: Debbie Compton, Matt Pasteris, Kevin Dahl, Brian O'Kelley, Rich McElligot, Jude Torre, and myself. If I missed anyone I apolgize.
