Greg N
After reading through various posts in the past I decided on trying out the Suffix 832 as it sounds very popular. What a frustrating night. I must be doing something wrong. About every third cast the line would snag and drop straight to the water. Lots of "birdnests" in my baitcaster. Do you guys reserve this line just for top water? I noticed less issues when using a buzz bait. Thoughts?
Scott Ferguson
I use it for everything. Almost no problems. I just came back from a trip. In a full week, the only backlash I had was when I tried to cast my spinner bait into a 20mph wind.
Greg N
any special technique when spooling it?
Scott Ferguson
What size line are you using? Guys who use lighter line sometimes have problems with the line digging in which causes snags. Make sure your drag is not too tight and don't over fill the spool. Jonn Graham
Been using it almost since it first came out.................OUTSTANDING LINE!! 20 pound test on baitcasters and 10 pound on my spinning rods. You must be doing something wrong. Check your magnetic settings on your reel.
Greg N
Thanks for the thoughts. There was to much line on the spool. Took about half off and it worked well tonight. 2 fish on at a new place which is always a small victory
jessewade
keep an eye on that spool as well, not sure about 832 but i know a lot of the new super braids have a coating on it which I have seen issues with it building up on the edges of the spool and then causing some wicked bird's nest if it rolls over on itself. I have had this problem with super slick 8, I just love the sensitivity though so i just keep an eye on it.
