Ron, I'm glad you were able to participate in the survey. I was hoping to participate on Thursday, sounds like they were ahead of schedule. Karen Rivera from the IDNR will be sharing with me later this month the survey schedule for Mississippi River tributaries south of the quad cities. Attention ISA members, I have received information from Karen Rivera of the IDNR regarding dates and locations for the Green River Basin sampling. Sampling and surveying will take place each day from Monday, July 13 through Thursday, July 16. 8 different locations will be sampled from Walnut to Geneseo. Volunteers are welcome to assist their efforts. Volunteers need to commit to a date and location so that IDNR officials can keep in touch should there be any changes in their schedule. Ron P and I fished the Maquoketa River Saturday which replaced the Green River trip that was cancelled. The Maquoketa was in good shape, water level and flow were normal. We floated the first half of the catch and release section just below the Delhi Dam. Fishing was good early and late, but tough mid day. Between the two of us we caught about 10 smallmouth, but nothing huge. Looking forward to catching more as we learn the river. This was the first official Western Region outing. We will continue to search for new rivers in the Western Region. We will likely chose another outing in July to replace the Rock River trip for the Western Region guys. We will keep you posted. Check for postings after the 4th of July regarding smallie hunter outings. Our first one will be Duck Creek, date and time to be determined later. Dave J

I have just bought a 14 ft canoe. Looking for something to carry multiple rods while fishing from the canoe. Not looking for rod holders just a rack to carry when paddling. Any suggestions??? Dave J
