But they're not texposed are they?

Hey folks, I'm looking for a recommendation. I fish most of my soft plastics with the spider slider jig but the baits don't stand straight up. Is there a jig I can use that will stand the bait up and still texpose with the same hook size? Thx

Chicago just notched its wettest May on record — for the third May in a row. At least 8.37 inches of rain has come down so far this month and, with a third of the month still to go, that tally is expected to grow.
This year’s historic May rainfall broke the record of 8.25 inches set in May 2019, which had surpassed May 2018′s 8.21 inches, the previous record holder.
Three consecutive rainfall records are remarkable when you consider the Windy City’s weather reports date back to 1871

I've checked the water table level where the river starts, readings in 2017 were around 6 foot below surface, the last 2years have been at 3 foot below surface.

Still up from fall, got down to 1500 cfs last week and shot back up to 2300. Is the water table higher? The springs feeding more water?
I've fished the Fox for 15 years and it has been acting strange for the last year and a half.

It's been at least twice the normal flow since before labor day. Is this the new normal?
I know it's was a wet year in 2018 but it seems to be a little weird how it hasn't come down.
Any thoughts?

Thanks, great tips.

I've noticed at least 6 guys this year smallie fishing with traditional lures as they fish for roughfish with their other rods.
I have made contact with them and asked how they were doing, asked to see their catch, so far 1 smallie saved from the dinner table
during the closed season. Is this new? Never noticed this happening before.

Yes, with adding a short section of PVC tube, you can actually carry three rods. One in your hand and two in the 3rd grip..............I know, I know.........you think it has to be a hassle with three rods..............well, it is not. Don't knock it until you try it. In addition, if you purchase the fly rod adapter, you can carry two fly rods at the same time while wading.
Third grip for5 years now. still love it!

River is high and muddy right now. You might want to stick to shore in unfamilar water. I know there is a park on the west side about a mile down from the dam. I fished that area only once and did pretty good fishing below the bridge, but water levels are much higher now.
Good luck. Bill

Now the guy repeatedly screams 'white trash' while I fish. I'm fishing in a neighborhood in Algonquin so I can't get too crazy about it.
