Guest rich mc
seems like this past week i have heard more about anglers wanting musky on the fly rod. its funny how they seem to think they can just start out throwing big flies and not have a clue as to how to do it. are there any new musky flies out that a can downsize for smallies? rich

To find out about other patterns that would work, take a look at these two events: http://illinoissmallmouthalliance.net/foru...p?showtopic=938 Come to either or both of these free events and talk to the masters. Rick D.
Rich, I use several bonefish flies as well for musky, pike and gar. River musky is not my intented target most of the time. I have downsized versions of the samebonefish & musky flies for bass that attracted the attention of river muskies. Still waiting for a taker. I hope its on the 7-9 wt. rods!
