the fly fishing show has moved to schaumburg this year its jan 13 and 14th. its at the renaissance schaumburg convention center. there will also be a new fly show in february rich

Chuck Firimsky is running this show as he has done in Tinley Park for the last two years. Draw your own conclusions regarding this show, he was good to the ISA as far as booth rental goes but that was about it, in my opinion.

 

Go to the exhibitor's page on his site and take a look at the manufacturers and fly shops who will be there, see anybody you know? He does have Bob Long, jr as the smallmouth presenter but be prepared to hear about the wax-worm-on-a-nymph technique that Bob is now a proponent of. I think a lot of Bob and his fly tying skills, but I think as a fly fisher, he's gone around the bend.

Tom Helgeson, publisher of Midwest Flyfishing Magazine is putting on the show in February. I have taught fly casting at his show in Minneapolis for the past three years and it is an excellent show.
