Mark Lutz
I am heading to Texas for a work meeting and was hoping to mix in a bit of fun. I was wondering if anyone knew of a fly guide in that area? I know it's a long shot, yet have not found much on the web either., Any ideas would be appreciated. jude
I've always wanted to explore the rivers in that area. If you have enough time, I'd do some research and head out without a guide. (I think the internet has almost made guides obsolete.) I think the real good stuff will take more than just a couple hours to get to and fish. http://www.austinflyfishers.com http://hillcountryflyfishing.com http://www.flyfishingconnection.com/articles/current/17/Exploring+the+Fly+Fishing+Waters+of+Austin,+Texas+and+the+Texas+Hill+Country/

Gavin
Pick up a copy of "Fly Fishing the Texas Hill Country" its out of print, but you can probably find one. Most of your fishing will be west of Austin and North of San Antonio.
