Stormwater Management Hosting West Branch DuPage River Project Meeting

DuPage County Stormwater Management will hold a public information meeting regarding planned 2015 flood control improvements and river restoration work along the West Branch DuPage River on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. at Warrenville’s City Hall (28W701 Stafford Place).

DuPage County Stormwater Management, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and the City of Warrenville are working together to reduce flood damage and improve the river ecology along the stretch of the West Branch DuPage River located upstream and downstream of Warrenville Road.

In order to reduce flood-related damage in this area, the County is planning to replace the Warrenville Road Bridge and re-meander the River. The project will include a significant closure of the Warrenville Road Bridge during construction. During the meeting, DuPage County staff and partners will present the scope of the project and schedule details.
