Allen Rupp
Will the recent rains make the river high, or muddy?
Jonn Graham
AS of right now, the water level is not too bad. If we can escape the rains today and tomorrow, you guys should be all-right. I would make the outing, but my son has a baseball tourney................good luck to all............
Allen Rupp
Great, thank you for letting me know. Is there USGS Gauge one can use to measure the water flow or height?
Bart Durham
The Vermillion may be the only navigable smallmouth stream in the State at this moment. Is anyone bringing their yak?
Dana Lee
I will not be able to make it since I was called in to work tomorrow. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/il/nwis/uv?site_no=05554500 This is the gauge in Pontiac. It looks as if it wasn't affected much by last night's flash flooding I experienced around my stomping grounds. If Jonn says it's a go/ok, I would give it a shot. If you need directions to the park I was planning on hitting, call me. Thanks and good luck to anyone that plans on attending.
Bart Durham
Looks like I spoke too quickly as the river is on the rise like all the others. more pond and lake fishing on the horizon.
