Catch fish, eat fish! No, it’s not ISA blasphemy. It’s the annual Fish Boil at Vasa Park in South Elgin . So here’s the deal. Saturday, October 16th, float and fish for smallies on the Fox from South Elgin down to Five Islands in the morning. Then dock the vessels at John J. Duer FP (formerly Blackhawk) and go next door to Vasa Park for a 2 PM fantastic fish boil of Icelandic Cod. The meal includes salad, all the delicious cod you can eat, sides, and dessert for $15. You can byob or purchase beer and soft drinks there. In the day of the $15 hamburger, this is a great value and a great time.
