  1. Spent the afternoon at Al Capone's Hideaway enjoying lunch courtesy of America's Outdoor Show promoter Jim Sugarman and show director Jim Grandt. The prime rib was excellent. A great opportunity to spend social time with so many friends in the business.

Please respond below if you are able to help out. Let's fill in the blanks!

Gordon P will work the booth on Friday. Dick G will fill in as needed. Dick will most likely be involved with initial set-up and the break-down on Sunday. I'll also fill in as needed. A minimum of two ISA volunteers should be at the booth on each shift. Three volunteers for each shift is ideal. This gives each member a chance to take a break or to see the show.

Many thanks in advance for all volunteer work done for the ISA.

  3. Hey ISA'ers,

I received a voice mail from Vera Bojic. She said only 3 people signed up for the May 16th program. They may have to cancel this, unless at least 5 or more other members step up and commit to participate.

  4. I was on the river for a little while today with no luck. I got hung up on rocks several times, and every time, I used the "banjo pluck" to free my spinning bait. It's second nature now, but a few years ago I would have tugged and tugged til my line broke. I'm not sure where I got the "banjo pluck" tip, but it's one of the best I've ever gotten.

What's the best tip you've gotten? (other than the three horse in the ninth race)
