  1. I want to add my thanks to all involved in pulling together, contributing, and running the Blowout, as well as the ISA during the year.   ISA: good  people and a good mission.

Looking forward to being able to be more involved this year.

BTW - My wife was delighted by the St. Croix rod rack too, hoping to get me uncluttered.  (Thanks Jeff for contributing.) Now I need more rods to fill the remaining empty positions.

    Thanks again........Rick

  2. Thanks guys for organizing the outing. Although I couldn't arrive til later, it was good to chat a bit. Thought you'd have stories for me by that time. Sound's like the previous night's storm spooked the fish, despite otherwise good conditions.

RonG and I stayed later, did some walking, and eventually got one each, both about 16 inches. His on a plastic craw, mine on a rapala husky jerk.

Good to fish with you Ron. Hope to get out with you guys again soon.......Rick

  3. The meeting scheduled for March 28 at Corens has been canceled. Our speaker isn't able to make the meeting. We hope to have him out next year to talk about shore fishing for Lake Michigan smallies.

The meeting has been replaced by our first lakefront outing on April 18.

This will be our first outing on the lakefront of Lake Michigan. Time and location details to come!

Want to give Lake Michigan a try? The next state record smallmouth may come from the shoreline of Lake Michigan. If you've been there, done that perhaps you would like to share some tips and techniques that will help others improve their catch. Whether you spin or fly fish come out to this first ever ISA Lake Michigan outing.

If you've fished the lakefront and have access locations to share please send John Loebach (John L) a private message with those details.
