Hi Patrick
I have a kayak and I do not want to part with it. I respond only because I am so happy with it, that I can't help but recommend it to anyone considering kayak fishing. The problem is that it costs a bundle, and triggered an sudden case of buyers remorse. That feeling went away within 10 minutes after we hit the water.
Its a Hobie Outback. Its for fisherman, not for pure kayakers, and I could not be happier with it. My recommendation is that if you want a kayak for fishing, go with the Hobie Outback.
If that is absolutely not a possibility, then I recommend any of the SOT (sit on top) models.

This is my success since I joined up over the winter. This weekend I got out to the Kish both Sat and Sun mornings. I got one smallie on Sat and 2 on Sunday. Remembered my camera on Sunday. If I knew how to post a photo, you'd get to see that they were small but pretty.

Thanks for the reply. I have heard about them, but was not sure how well they would work. Its always good to know of someone who has actually used a product and then recommends it.
I'll place an order today.
One more Q - what do you do for bow and stern tie downs?

Interested to know more about how you car-topped it. I have been spent the winter trying to think up an an efficient way. I noticed that you are using some type of inflatable in place of an expensive rack.

I have been trying to find spots on the Kish to fish. Where are you guys hitting. I know of one spot and have had some luck. But nothing sounds as good as what I read here, or looks as good as the photos above. I'd appreciate some guidance.
