Trent Thomas' smallmouth restoration program for the Kaskaskia is ongoing and could use some help this fall.
Trent will be harvesting Fins & Feathers Rearing Pond at Lake Shelbyville on
October 5th. The smallmouth bass in this pond will be stocked directly into Lake
Shelbyville. Arrive early and help process fish.
Trent hopes these fish will establish a breeding population and eventually find their way back into the upper Kaskaskia (where they have been virtually extirpated since the building of the Lake Shelbyville Dam).
