Most places I have been on south branch are difficult to paddle back to landing. I've fished in Genoa off of rt. 72 and paddled up and down a bit fishing. You travel too far and it can be real difficult to get back.

I fish and float fish the south branch for years, but have never tried the north branch.  I'm looking for a 3-4 hour float maximum 5 hours. I'm taking a buddy out for his first Kish kayak fishing adventure.

What drop in and take outside would be best for the time allotted?

Thanks very much the info. I was looking at a 2-3 hour float/fish. Want to try a different spot for a change.  

Im looking to float and fish the kish from Espenscheid the Kish forest preserve with a buddy. Does anyone know long of a float it is and is the fishing on that stretch decent?

I have wanted to join the ISA and finally did it.

I live in Sycamore, IL and fish the kish and its tributaries for smallies.  Sometimes I venture to the east to fish the fox and its tributaries.  

I shore and kayak fish.  I caught my first smallie about 10 years ago and have been hooked ever since.
