  1. So here's the deal. My neoprene waders were leaking pretty bad this year and I knew I was going to have to get another pair. I put the leaky waders on today to keep me warm while shoveling snow, so now the story to the wife will be that they got ruined from shoveling snow. She'll feel bad for me and not care about spending the $$$ for a new pair. Ooooh - Hoooooow.
  2. Just to jog your memory....... Just got these off the BCCD Facebook page.......... The men behind the BCCD/ISA Stream Barbs..... ( left to right) Dan Kane - Executive Director Wayne Kinney - Stream Specialist Josh Sage - Restoration Projects Mgr.

  10. By the way...... Where do you get your material from?
  11. Wow! I can't wait to see the finished product. Kind of looks like a Rocky remake smallmouth style.
  12. You can bend hooks that much? You must have to heat them? I suppose now you'll tell me that Gander Mnt. wont have any Arctic Fox hair.
  13. Where ever Eric is fishing there's a girl walking around without a brassiere.
  14. That stockong hat makes me look fat.
  15. Well myself and EugeneC went out today for Bronze Friday and both pulled in a skunk. Better than going out shopping today. It was a bit cool, about 30 - 32 degrees with some strong gusting wind. We did the float and fly in a couple different holes with no luck. I had a clean shaven face this time out. It still didn't help. My fingers lost all feeling which made it difficult to tie on flies. It was nice to be out away from the hustle & bustle of Black Friday. Maybe next time.
  16. Happy Bronze Friday to all members who spend a couple hours today chasing the mighty Smallmouth Bass. Good luck.
  17. From another thread........ Mark P ISA Forum Registrant Group: Registrants Posts: 84 Joined: 05-May 08 Posted 23 November 2010 - 06:29 PM I'm a little confused about this float and fly thing. Are you guys talking about straight forward nymphing techniques with a fly other than a nymph? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just wondering if anybody does any nymphing? When I first started to fly fish I read an article on nymphing for smallmouth and found it to be very interesting and actually gave it a shot during my first fly fishing year. I bought some yarn floats and hit the Kish floating Beadhead-Woolybuggers. I did catch a couple smallmouth but I was not real happy with the yarn float. I suppose I should have had some magic floatant powder to dip the yarn float in but I didn't. Why Beadhead-Woolybuggers, you ask? Because it was about the only thing I knew how to tie at the time and the nymphs were way above my tying skill level and probably still are. So again, a couple questions...... 1) Does anybody nymph? 2) Whats the best float?
  18. Apparently you're a pretty powerful man.
  19. If you look again at this picture. To the far right where you see large chunks of gravel, that's where the original canoe launch was. The original launch was made out of very large timber and was in very good shape and had been there for years.
  20. I know! This new launch is going to take a beating every spring.
