Bring one or more of your new or favorite rods to compare to others. This is a great chance to try other rods on the water to see what you like. If you are new to fly fishing come out & learn!

    This fall we have:

Doug Taylor Sage elite pro staff. Doug has Rio line kits to help fit your 2 handed switch & spey rods. Doug is an accomplished 2 hand caster & will also offer casting tips.

Jeremy from Dupage Fly Fishing is bringing rods from GLoomis, Sage & Scott.

John Loebach, ISA - I'll bring an Echo Bad Ass Glass 8wt., Orvis Superfine glass 5,6, & 8wt. plus some vintage 70,s Phillipson & Fisher rods.

All outside event - hope to see you there.

  3. Six volunteers planted 11 flats of water willows in about 3 hours today.  A huge shout out to a small but determined crew.  Last year's plants grew until they were mowed short recently. We hope to get more support to prevent that from occurring again. I'm sure it was a misunderstanding as no one would want to take our money & efforts for granted. A great job done by the following:

    Ed Buric

    Eugene Collins

    Kevin Dougherty

    Pat Hirschtik

    John Loebach

    Alex Zelles

    Many thanks,

    John L

  4. We will plant water willows in Batavia on July 22nd. Meet at the skate park parking lot on Rte. 25 south of Wilson street. Start time 8am

Bring waders & gloves, we have 416 plants this time. The site is the rock bar just upstream of the large island. Cross the bridge to the island & go to the north end. The gavel bar is just upstream where we planted last year. Date pending water levels but for now it looks good. It should take about 3 hours & we can find lunch afterwards. Please RSVP on the boards or email me. We work in teams if you haven’t done this its pretty easy. Ask if you have questions. This year is 20years that we have done this!
