  1. AND...the #1 reason the coal industry is dying is because natural gas is so cheap.
  2. Here is why. http://www.vox.com/2017/2/2/14488448/stream-protection-rule
  3. They are thinking about paying back all the people all the people that got them elected.
  4. I like the deer hair bugs and that shad patten looks fantastic. Are the materials tied directly to the hook or is there mono like in the hpu fly?

    hpu fly

    Sweet. That's a great idea. http://www.saltwatersportsman.com/techniques/fly-recipies/
  6. Well that saved a lot of Googling. Thanks fellas.
  7. 7 or 8 wt. To me a 12-14 inch smallie pulls hard enough for me to get a kick out of it. 8 wt is easier to cast bigger flies if that's your thing. 6 wt will work too. I have a 6 wt, the only thing I don't like is the grip. i prefer the full wells.
  8. I got a spinning rod kit for christmas. My nephew started building last year and he said, it's not that hard but you end up refining what you want. So yeah, build the cheaper ones first. I am kind of excited about it. A few of the nephews builds came out pretty sweet.
  9. Just a heads up. I saw the kit on clearance at Best Buy for $12.99.
  10. right. URL stands for "uniform resource locator". When you upload the picture to the web, It gets a URL assigned to it, that's it's "address" on the web. But a lot of these sites that host pictures also give the option to put tags at the beginning and ending of the address. For example the tags that allow the picture to be shown on a bulletin board page rather than just a link. If you try to put in a URL with those tags at the beginning and end it won't work. The easiest way to get the URL from an image- minus the tags and all is to right click on it then hit "properties". I could not get it to upload from my gallery, though with a 200x200. I might have screwed something up there. Also could not get it to upload directly from my computer.
  11. Yes. But it's going to have three different windows with tags, you want that "direct Link" one or the actual link with no tags which you can right click on the image to get. That's the only way I got it to work. Yes I shrunk it to 200x200 first.
  12. The black nosed dace is similar and I did tie and fish one. Used it in ponds and caught gills and crappies with it. The ponds I fish are really good for that so I can't really say that it's more effective than anything else. If you are panfishing, I would not get all wound up about colors. Use what you have. There are lots of tutorials on You Tube.
  13. As I understand it, it was popularized in Japan and started being used out West in tournaments. They make weights that are heavier than a regular nail. This would probably work well with an O ring too.
  14. I am impressed that you guys managed to respond to both posts, so it looks even goofier that I double posted.
  15. What do you mean "funny"? Funny how...!!?? Like a clown...? I'm here to amuse you? What the !@#$ is funny about it?
  16. These itty bitty images look better if you sharpen the bejesus out of them, bring up the saturation, and contrast. If you have Photoshop the Clarity slider does wonders also. You can go whack with the sharpening because they are too small to see the resulting noise.
  17. Thought it was Safari, so I tried it using Chrome via my Chromebook. The only way to load it was to upload to tiny pic, then copy the URL from"Direct Link to Layaouts" (or click on the image once to open it then right click on it to copy the URL. It has to be 200X200 for the forum to accept it. I tried this on my mac and Chrome. Maybe it works with another browser?
