Good luck Jonn for sure….but…you didn’t mention anything being wrong with your left hand. Maybe this is the opportunity / challenge for you to learn to become ambidextrous? Enter into the world of a southpaw? Did the doc say anything about “reeling” with the right hand? Just a thought…maybe to keep you from getting too bummed out.

I ordered some of those Kulik Slammers from Lee's Bait & Tackle and had him ship them to me. Ended up speaking with the owner, John Lee, who was very nice and helpful. It's nice to see an idividually owned smaller tackle store open up, rather than watch them disappear. Loooking forward to checking his store out.

I look at the Shorewood one also... I'll also take a look at the West Branch gauge in Naperville and the East Branch gauge in Bolingbrook. Both these are "close" to the confluence, and gives me an idea on what may be headed downstream that might not have hit the Shorewood gauge yet.. West Branch Naperville East Branch Bolingbrook

Dan... You can try this. I had to repair my Simms L2 boots near the end of last season and so far it’s holding up, but not sure how long it will last. Mine separated about a quarter of the sole by the heel. I used Shoe Goo pretty liberally between the sole and boot bottom, pressed down and let it ooze out. Then I laid about an inch wide strip of window screening material I had over the oozing Shoe Goo on the seam between the sole and boot bottom. Smeared the excess Shoe Goo that oozed out all over the mess and let it dry with some weight in the boot. So far so good, but like I said, not sure how long it’ll hold up.
