I have too many fly rods so this one has to go. I am selling a 9'6", 2pc, 7wt Fenwick Techna AV with a rod sock & aluminum rod tube. I am also selling a Pflueger Trion #1978 reel which is for a 7-8wt line and will come with a 7wt wff line & backing. I am asking $200 for both or seperate $150 for the rod and $75 for the reel. Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions. I actually found a few ring eye straight shank hooks in my tackle box that seem about right. They are size 2 and were offset, but that was an easy fix with the pliers. I hope to have a few done by this weekend. Good luck to all.

I was interested in tying some of these flies for smallmouth in our local rivers. Does anyone have any suggestions on what hook to use? I am trying to avoid using the heavy saltwater hooks that some recipes call for. Any hep or suggestions would be appreciated.

Fished from 7-11 @ DCA (started across from hand trap range) with the fly gear. Only one hook-up that came undone after about ten seconds . Nice area with good wading conditions (Wilmington flow @ 1650cfs). Water vis. about 18-24 inches. Will try again sometime soon. Sorry for the late post.
