While I was there , we decided to stop by and see all the "classic" sites a week early. Went past the convention center where the weigh in will be held, went to the launch ramp at Lay Lake which is now closed from local use. On the drive there we past by elite anglers Kevin Short and Steve Kennedy leaving from practise on the lake. Stopped at Bass Pro Shop in Leeds Al and got to sit in Kevin Van Dam's boat, you could feel the mojo. It even makes me want to go throw a crank plug.
