I found this website by searching smallmouth bass techniques for Illinois. I had no idea there was a club devoted specifically for smallmouth in Illinois. I've only recently discovered smallmouth in the rivers and streams around me, but I've had a blast catching them. I look forward to discussing smallies with everyone. Also being an avid muskie fisherman I strongly believe in CPR, so I have no problem releasing all the fish I catch. It's actually kind of funny because I'm driving my oldest brother nuts by not telling where and how I'm catching my smallmouth. He's more of a catch and eat kind of person and I don't want him cleaning out my holes.
