Here are a few pics of my K-3 Hellgies. The smallies seem to love these hellgramites and with them being hard to find, and only at certain times of year, I decided to tie some up so I'd have them on hand.

Ken, I'll send you a few to "field test". my work scheduale is killing my fishin time!! but thats summer road construction for ya. I still need you to show me how to fish the fox. maybe you can provide the water and I'll provide the flies???

hook-#2-4 long streamer or curved nymph hook

lead eyes

tail- marabou w/optional 2 silly legs

body- dubbing

legs- hackle feather(palmered)

shell back- swiss straw or scud back material

ribbing- mono or copper wire to segment the body

antenna- 2 goose biots.

coat the shell back and antennas w/clear nail polish.

 

I started using clear nail polish and so far like it.

this is a fairly easy tie.

rich, I've just been so busy working. we are in the hieght of road construction season and its putting a wrench in my fishin time
