Guest Don R
http://illinoissmallmouthalliance.net/foru...?showtopic=2952 This outing is canceled due to the high water on the Fox River. It will be rescheduled for a July or August date yet to be determined.
Jim Kast
I'm out of town again this weekend, so I'm a definate no-show.
aloomens
I'd prefer it be re-scheduled for when wading is possible. My 2 cents...
maineman
I'd rather wait for wadeable water as well. Are there other wading options for the same day?
Guest Don R
I'd prefer it be re-scheduled for when wading is possible. My 2 cents... That makes good sense to me. I'd rather wait for wadeable water as well. Are there other wading options for the same day? None in the immediate area that I can think of. Scott Ferguson
The water levels as of now are falling rapidly. Without a lot more rain, by Saturday, it could be wadeable. Why don't you wait a couple more days before making a decision.
Norm M
I'm already locked in to a vacation day but I'll take the kids to the Pause for Patriotism event here in town. It's a pretty neat event and my teenage daughter can ogle some hotty reservists no matter her protests otherwise. Reschedule when it's safer. kevin summers
Don, Though the water is dropping as Scott has pointed out it is still very dingy. With the bridge construction there is a lot of silt so it seems to take a bit longer to clear up then in the past. I haven't waded across river yet still a bit rough for my liking... so I'd lean on cancelling this weekend , Just my 2 cents, Kevin
Guest Don R
It looks like they were holding water back for a short spell. The guage now shows the usual slow drop in water levels. Outing is canceled.
SmallieJonze
I tried Geneva today...somewhat wadeable up to thigh deep, I wouldn't test it past there. If I had to guess I'd say visibility was in the 6" or less range. This spot is new water to me but I'll definately go back. I want to redeem myself for getting a goose egg today. My first wade outing of the year!!! I can't think of a more enjoyable way to get skunked Should a future Batavia outing get "crowded" this area would make a nice secondary spot....Good access, plenty of fishable structure, chunk rock etc...
