Jack T Posted August 26, 2007 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 Article Yahoo News on "Rock Snot", looks like soiled clump of sheep's wool,a cottony green or white mass thats turning up on rocks and river bottoms snarling waterways, the algea has the potential to bloom into thick masses with long stalks, blanketing the bottoms of some streams, threatening aquatic insect and fish populations by smothering food sources,over past ten years has turned up in California and moved on east to Tennessee, in New England it has turned up in the White, Connecticut Rivers and Batten Kill southern Vermont, Quebec also having a problem with it.
