All right, you can all lay off.

I have been accused and some may say rightly so, of being a Trout Snob. Witness the other conversations on this page. Too d@mn much trout talk on a Smallmouth Board, cut it out.

I was asked and happily participated in the water willow planting today on the Fox River near Mongomery. It was nice to give something back.

After actually sweating and very nearly having a blister show up on the hand that normally weilds the 3 weight trout stick I use, we walked upstream to see what a 2 year old colony of water willows look like. Amazing how they self-propogate and fill in providing much needed habitat.

I implore you to participate in any future work projects that come up; such a satisfying feeling to improve a fishery.

Kudos to John and the Board for putting this event together.

It really is a satisfying feeling.

Also the reason many join the group, as I'm hearing more and more.

With each and every smallie caught comes an extra shot of satisfaction knowing that we helped these fish along.

Thanks again for a phenomenal volunteer effort to all!

I've never known you to be anything close to a trout snob.

We have happily discussed lots of different species.

Your fly tying events have ISA guys tying smallmouth flies all the time.

You enjoy fishing the St. Joe for all kinds of stuff.

"Watch you talkin bout Willis?"
