pts9889
My breathable Hodgeman waders have leaks everywhere. For a couple trips, I just logged around a couple extra pounds of water in them. And I wondered why I was getting so tired out there after a couple hours. I didn't want to wet wade since I don't like walking in all those high weeds and eel grass. Recently, I cut the toes off the booties and I gave that water a chance to drain out. It works quite well. and the water cooling you off is actually kinda nice. Granted, I need to buy some new waders for the fall but for now this works. And I don't think I am going to toss these anytime soon. We all know that breathables have only so many outings before they leak so why waste some of those dry wades in the hot summertime? Just a thought. Good fishing. Mark O'Donnell
Paul, After it gets nice and warm in the spring, its only wet wading for me. I use the nylon lightweight zipper at the knees pants and an old pair of gym shoes. When done, take off at knees, put on dry shoes and you're good to go. Very Comfortable Mark O'Donnell
