John Gillio
Has anyone fished the Zumbro River at Rochester Mn. I may be up that way and have a chance to toss a fly for a short time. Any advice or info. would be helpful.
gordon p
I have fished the Zumbro several times but downstream (north ) of Rochester. It's a pretty river with really clear water. Good smallmouth fishing but perhaps not a large amount of Brutus class fish. Good wading access at Hammond and Millville but that's about 30 minutes from Rochester. gordon p
I think the river at Rochester is pretty small.
Steve S.
I have a friend that has fished it, pretty much reported what Gordon said. Very clear water, lots of bass but mostly +/-14" range. He also reported some musky follows but no takes, if that interests you.
