Mike Clifford Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Brought my boy to the show today as an annual tradition to take in the "shore lunch" and chat with so many old friends. BTW- it used to be advertised as walleye. After a dozen or so years of eating it, it was divulged to me today as Alaskan Cod. Still delicious! Craig Holderness was holding down the fort in the ISA booth and Ron K joined him later. Also spoke with Jonn Graham and chatted with Spiz. A regular freakin' family reunion!Really enjoyed Marc Miller's full 2 hour forum on "everything conservation".A highlight of the day for me. Took in the reptile show and dog demonstrations. I greatly appreciate the Chicago Herp Society for all they do, but this year's show was really sub-par.The guy brought out 3 snakes and mostly took questions from a couple 8-10 year old girls in the front row. That was the extent of that. Overall, a great chance to catch up with the usual suspects in the outdoors world. Quote
jeff standing Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Mike I was the big guy with the Hawks hat . I was impressed with Mark Miller also, hopefully he will follow through on all the things he talked about . The one thing that scares me is that they may change the flow direction of the Chicago river. Any way ti was nice to meet you. Jeff Quote
Mike Clifford Posted February 13, 2013 Author Report Posted February 13, 2013 Nice to meet you as well!! The Chicago River deal is far from written in stone, my friend. It is an option among many. Quote
