Bart Durham
My first attempt at tying hair jigs for winter smallie fishing. Tom recommended I use the craft fur for the hair jigs which I found easy to use but a little messy. Hopefully they will bring me some smallies this winter. If the weather ever warms up I plan to try under indicator (fnf) and swing freeline.
Guest rich mc
no reason they wont work. look for the bassbuggers to start some jig tying meetings in 2014. try a little uv material rich mc
Andy C
And don't be afraid to tie smaller variations. Most of my productive wintertime jigs are 1.25 to 2" long.

Rob G
Bart, look great, what size jig head are you using there?
Bart Durham
Rob, used 1/8 "jig head, probably should tie some 1/16"to have both available.
John Gillio
Nice Bart! Let us know how you do. Even !/32 oz under a float. Less weight for the fish to suck in seems to work best for me.
