  1. I put all the pictures together in case anyone wants to share with friends. A special thanks again to Scott for organizing this every year.
  2. The pictures from our group are almost misleading, granted everyone caught at least one quality fish but the numbers are few. Having fished this river for the past 10 years and approximately 30 trips this was the toughest fishing I have ever come across. Nobody could come up with a pattern and everyone was skunked at least once if not more. I fished with my brother everyday managing at least one quality fish each per day except the first day. 2at 18 1/2 , 4 at 17plus and for a couple of hours we fished at what I call the Niagra nursery catching about 15 small bass up to 16 inches. That being said we all had a great time, the weather was perfect and you can't beat wing night at the local restaurant, 6 wings for $2. add on a micro brew for $4. Here's a few pictures
  3. You guys must have gone up river, looks familiar to me. Congrats on the fine outing, can't wait to get back up there.
  4. Another day, a different story. My brother went back there yesterday with better results and better weather. Four rainbows 16-18 inches on an egg pattern. What ever that is. Not being a fly fisherman when I go with him I use what ever he ties on my line.
  5. Andy, I would share this post with my nephew but I know it would only make him feel worse. He had fished there last year with incredible results, that's why they went back there.
  6. My nephew wanted to take his dad to a rainbow honey hole that requires a 2 mile walk each way. Even though there is snow all around it had started out as a nice day. The pictures will tell you how it ended, not to mention getting skunked. This was near Stagecoach Reservoir Colorado.
  7. Apparently I'm the only one that has had good luck with Cabela's boots. Averaging 60-65 days a year wading some pretty rough rivers these boots have held up as good as any, usually two full seasons then I pass them on to a friend and get a new pair. This last pair I got is the best one yet, it seems like they are easier to get on and off. Years ago I bought a pair of Simms and the sole separated by the second season. https://www.cabelas.com/product/CABELAS-MENS-FELT-SOLE-WADING-SHOES/2948786.uts?productVariantId=6189656&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=BingPLA&WT.z_mc_id1=05348837&rid=20&msclkid=4ddca925f54e1ad6f221f5adc88b1818&ds_rl=1252079&gclid=CPWBzoTe_eACFVCVxQIdZ50KZg&gclsrc=ds
  8. Planning on being there, I hope there's a good turn out. Don't want to drive all that way just for dinner.
  9. Nice fish, blue Simm's shirt, hat and gloves along with a big fish. Are you sure we are not related?
  10. Sorry, not this year, moving day for my granddaughter.
  11. Is anybody going to this event? I hate to drive all the way up there if no one is going.
  12. Came across this one while cleaning up my photo albums. This was a clean-up back in Sept. of 2009
  13. Norm and I talked last fall about how he and I could fish together a little more because he was about to retire. We were both going through chemo at the same time and I often thought about how he might be doing and said a lot of prayers for both of us. I was truly saddened when I heard he took a turn for the worse. Norm was not a believer in cameras but I snapped this one while we were fishing below Warner bridge. Thank you Norm for introducing me to some quality fishing spots and bending my ear with your experiences and stories. Just out of habit I will probably be looking for your car every time I go to the Kankakee.
  14. I'll be there if my plane doesn't get delayed in Las Vegas. Always look forward to this one.
  15. I'll be there, first time for Thai cuisine.
  16. Not the best of videos but the easiest to put together, just wish I had some better pictures. This trip and the ISA picnic are my two favorite summer time events. https://quik.gopro.com/v/Yunb9lS0fw/
  17. If there are any other photos of Bart, Ron, Ed, Ken and his daughter please post so I can remake the video to include everyone. The pictures from Bart don't have enough pixels to show properly.
  18. Experimenting with my new phone, hopefully this works. https://quik.gopro.com/v/lJUIq7Cvhc/
  19. Just a note for the guys going up this weekend better plan on mostly drift fishing out of kayak, float or boat. Unless the levels don't get down another 20% there won't be many places to wade. Dick and I were up there this past Tuesday, Wednesday and there aren't many places to get out away from shore. I will follow up with an out of state report.
  20. I'll be there, I'm sure there will be to much food as usual. I'll bring something for a pre- dinner snack like last year.
  21. Do you have a head count yet, I have only seen one reply. I'm going to try and make it.
  22. Thanks for the response Jim, John Graham said the same thing in a personal message. If that's the case I will stick with what I am currently using.
  23. Looking for suggestions on a dependable dog leash that retracts. What size, round cable vs flat?
