  1. I have the 7 weight mojo...........................love it!!!! Great for wading small to mid size rivers
  2. A neighbor tried to straighten part of my creek about two years ago. I called the county engineer and he came right out and put a stop to it. Matter of fact, he had to repair the damage right away. They, of course, had no permits to do it.
  3. This is the second in marshall county. I live in marshall county. I went to a public meeting about the first one. First one located along a smallie stream. Tons of people showed up and packed a local gymnasium and voiced their displeasure. Some got up to the mic and really let the hog people and ag department have it. The local board voted it down and the ag department approved it. Total BS. But my question is this......................................what can we do if we voice our displeasure and the county board votes it down, but it gets approved anyways.?
  4. Okay................now I understand.............................it's not about 3 guys per boat its about the type of boat you have........................wink,wink...................hey , its your tourne y...................you can definitely make the rules......................hope it goes well
  5. On your facebook page you told Dave P. that 2 anglers would be fine?
  6. No kayaks/canoes allowed takes me out of the equation..........................not sure the reason for this rule???????
  7. I have an orvis clearwater 7 weight outfit I am wishing to sell. The rod has been used but not abused. The package comes with the 4 piece rod, a clearwater reel and 7 weight clearwater line. Rod Tube and reel bag also included. $115 shipped. If you need more info., please email at jonn@campsmallmouth.com
  8. I will be selling swim jigs, muskie flies, and one particular smallmouth fly that was very effective last year. Rich, if I can remember, I will throw in my box that has all my Tiny Dancer flies in it. Stop by my booth and you can pick one up.....................
  9. Rich: I also tie the same fly much larger for pike and muskies..................... https://ozarkflyfisherjournal.wordpress.com/2017/10/12/lap-dancer-scores-big-pike/
  10. Beads are plastic...................You use a sink tip as the action of this fly under the water on the strip is very erratic. This fly is NOT intended to be fished on the surface. The foam diver head causes the fly to "juke and jive" all over the place.............and the idea that the fly is articulated helps the action as well......................gotta see it in the water. Rich..........thanks for your reply.

  12. About 26 anglers signed up right now. Really shocked to see how many great fisherman in the ISA that are NOT registered. Doesn't the ISA represent some of the best river bass anglers in the area????
  13. The river bassin tourney is this Saturday. I see that along with myself, a few other ISA guys are registered. Hoping to see more ISA members get signed up and join us in a fun day of fishing and fellowship after the tourney in Aurora. There is still time to sign up online. For some reason, I cannot paste the link here??? My computer is stupid. But, you can google river basin tourney and then go from there. Pretty easy to find the page where you register. Looking forward to fishing and seeing some familiar faces.
  14. Big Rig weighs a ton. You sure are not going to want to carry the Big Rig very far or lift it up onto top of car/rack/etc. I would go with Coosa or Cuda due to weight. If you plan to keep this boat for awhile, the lighter boat will become more valuable as you get older.........................
  15. Good stuff. Dave is definitely a "fishy" guy. Always lots of fun fishing with DAve.
  16. Gregg: Raptor will take care of you..................
  17. I would take the summer doldrums bite anyday...................no "bite" down here as conditions are deplorable!!!!!!!!
  18. You two are very worthy winners...................congrats................................
  19. Gotta say...................it is too bad that they accept largemouth bass. Would be neat if only smallmouths counted.............................having fun watching the tourney online............
  20. lots of idiots are drawn to swollen rivers................kinda weird. When waters are at normal levels, the casual person has no use for rivers......................messed up.
  21. I would not buy the automatic pfds as they will go off if you trip and fall into the water while putting your boat into the water our when you are out of the boat wading. In addition, had a buddy who had an automatic pFD. His PFD was laying in the boat and sitting in water, it went off and blew up like a balloon. Happened to buddy and it was quite funny, but he had to go buy another CO2 cartridge. In my opinion, a good kayak PFD has worked well for me. Many of them have little do-hickeys to attach tools to and small pockets. If you are going to wear one all the time, I strongly suggest you get one that is least restrictive and one that is lightweight and breatheable (part mesh).
  22. If you are fishing from a Coosa, small dumbbell is not going to work as an anchor as you will not be able to pull it up out of the water and have it rest in the boat........won't fit in designated anchor chutes.......................3/8 inch logging chain works much better.
