Guest airbornemike
Caught this in the morning paper today http://blogs.suntimes.com/bowman/2010/09/fish_of_the_week_smallmouth_on.html This dude's a wild man, they banned him off the steelheadsite.com but does he ever speak the truth, I loved his rants and he swoons over carp in this article. Paul F
Nice fish! I'm gonna have to ask my buddy at work if he knows this guy since he is on steelheadsite.com
Terry Dodge
I call "bull"! Look how he's holding the fish away from his body but close to the camera. That's an old trick.
Rob G
She's a beauty for sure but if you use the reel seat and cork grip for scale (generally 4" max. and 7" respectively), then the fish isn't even 21" inches in length. But, yea, I would be showing it off as well.
ronk
It's not as long as the 21.5" I posted in Aug'08.
Scott Ferguson
I don't know how big the guy is but the fish is near twice as long as his feet are. That makes it pretty near 22 to 24 inches long. Looks great to me!
Jim Kast
Same old crap. Someone catches a real nice fish and everyone discounts it. Man up and admit that it's a beautiful big smallie that you'd be proud to catch. Who gives a white rat's ass how big it is?
Guest Don R
If you compare the right big toenail to the smallie's eye....oh nevermind... Nice fish!
Terry Dodge
It is a nice fish. Better fish than I'll probably ever catch. My little remark of "calling bull" is just an inside joke I have with another ISA member. I'm just waiting for a reply. He my not reply though because he doesn't believe that a fish that size can ever be caught with a skill stick, I'm sorry, fly rod.
Mike Clifford
Maybe he has small feet. You know what they say about small feet....... small shoes! Yeah, it's really hard to say, but given everything we can see, it could be in that range. Certainly not beefy enough to be the state record though.
