Sounds like a good enough place to die. I'll be there.

Nice to meet everyone today, I think all those that fished got into some OK fish. I got one that was maybe 15'' and few small ones...oh yea I managed to foul hook a Drum. Looking forward to fishing with you guys (and gal) again. Thanks again for the fly Eugene.

Dana thanks for running this one even with all that lightning. Ha..........

I had fun today. The moving water was very calming . Didnt put that much effort into it today, so i am grateful
to that smallie that told me he was there by pulling the rod 3 or 4 times till he hooked himself. Everyone caught today.
Bart took off with Eric for a bit down river. By the smile on Bart's face i am sure they caught a few. I think Dana had numbers.
Pat showed up and showed us the flyrod works by picking several smallies off in a hurry.
Bart how did you do? Dana, Pat and i finished the day off at Fermi, where i saw Dana put a hurt on a pile of Bass.

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. Beautiful river everyone so warmly welcomed me to! Staying up for 22 hrs was totally worth every second, and I didn't even have to break out the waders!
Can't wait to come up and do it all over again!

Good to see everyone. The calm, overcast morning was comfortable. Started out wading and picked up two smallies in short order. Caught 'em on a white spinnerbait. Both came off edges of shoreline timber in mild current. One was a tad over 15". After that, did a power wade to some go-to spots for nothing. Later in the AM, teamed up with Bart and spot-hopped. Bart popped a 15" on a white spinnerbait near rock in heavy current. I caught seven on the hula grub. Mostly around rock and edges. My biggest was 17". Saw quite a few groups of carp spawning along tree roots and cut banks on the edges of islands. Had to head home shortly after noon. Glad to hear everyone caught fish and enjoyed. Come back and checkout those areas at different flows, different times of the year. Some great fish in the Fox!
Jon, I was impressed with how quickly you were suited up and ready to fish! Dana, nice methodical tube fishing from shore!

Enjoyed meeting everyone yesterday for what turned out to be a great day to be out on the Fox river. Thanks Eugene for sharing the hula grub and spinner bait. Thank you Eric for letting me tag along and sharing some pointers. I brought my Coosa and got out in the afternoon for a short float and was fortunate to land this 18" moose on a white honeybuzz bait on shoreline eddy that did not want to be brought into the Coosa.

Here's the smallie Bart popped on a 3/8-ounce Eric Bait fished near rock in fast water.

BTW, nice buzzbait fish!
