I am looking for assistance in determining the hook used for a meat whistle. I've been looking for some time and just can't seem to find the on with extended 90deg.

Any assistance would be greatly apprecited.

Mark, Cabela's carries a few 90 degrees jig hooks.

All these will work for the Meat Whistle.

A 60 degree hook will work fine also.  In fact, a 60 degree hook is much more snag proof than a 90 degree hook............trust me, I know as a 90 degree hook in and around rocks is worthless.

I used the 60 on the Fodders I tied and I also tied some big Clousers on them. I like the quality of the hooks available too (used Daichi and Gammys).

Vote here for a 60º hook, I stopped using the eagle claws and do it hooks and went to a higher end gammi hook.
